I have not attempted to open it in case something is happening behind the scenes. However, I do wonder if that too will come up asking for a password. Naturally a file exists within that backup. The CintaNotes database file has the following date and time and is when I asked CintaNotes to backup now: Modified: 01:06:39.0638851 about 20 hours ago from the current UK time which is now 21.55hrs: This backup was last taken as follows i.e. a comprehensive backup of all my data which is run last thing before shutting down the computer. I have a backup file saved to an external drive i.e. I have used CintaNotes since that date and it is only on 05-01-2017 that the issue of requiring a password has cropped up. The properties for that file claim the following: I have not created a file on the Desktop via CintaNotes called Everything. Yet it also claims an instance of CintaNotes is already running. ![]() If I try to open any other older backup versions of my database file then it says these require a password. It comes up with a dialogue box asking for a password. Today when clicking on CintaNotes on the pinned icon on the Task Bar and it was pinned there a very long time ago, then CintaNotes will not launch. By doing so, I get a little kickback for referring you at no extra cost.I can assure you I have never set a password within the program and that is what this issue is about.Īs of 05-01-2017 a database file has appeared on the opening desktop screen - named Everything and it has the CintaNotes icon on it. If this review did in any way help you out, please consider using one of my affiliate links below. This review of Bvckup 2 was made possible because I personally paid for the application. If you are interested in what else it does, you can get an overview of all the features on Bvckup 2’s website. My goal was to show you the basics of how Bvckup 2 works. There are of course more features packed into Bvckup 2 than what was covered in this short review. It will work with Synology, QNAP, external hard drives, and anything else you can think of. Bvckup 2 gets my definite recommendation! Although I’ve mentioned my Unraid NAS in this review, you can use Bvckup 2 with any (external) drive or NAS. If you haven’t noticed it so far in this review, I am very impressed by what Bvckup 2 does and have been using it since I first purchased it. The developers obviously put a lot of thought into the functions, which can be seen in the ability to track an external drive by the device fingerprint. Despite that, it can perform advanced tasks such as delta and shadow copying. But being a backup application, in charge of my most valuable data, I’d rather use something that does its job perfectly 100% of the time than something that has more features but crashes every so often.īvckup 2 is fast, simple, and lightweight and that is what a backup application should be. If this review of Bvckup 2 taught you anything, it should be the fact that there are no bells and whistles to this piece of software. ![]()
